How this calculator works

Sale price = original price × (1 − discount ÷ 100)

Stacked discounts apply one after the other, so they multiply. 30% off and then an extra 20% off leaves you paying 0.70 × 0.80 = 56% of the original price, a total discount of 44%, not 50%. Sales tax is added to the discounted price.

Example

A jacket is $80 and 30% off: $80 × 0.70 = $56, saving $24. With an extra 20% off at checkout: $56 × 0.80 = $44.80.
