How this calculator works
The finder looks through every verse in the books you choose and lists the ones that contain your words. “All of these words” finds verses that contain each word anywhere in the verse. “This exact phrase” finds the words together, in order.
Searches match the start of words, so forgive also finds forgiven and forgiveness. The first whole-Bible search loads the full text (a few megabytes), so it can take a moment on a slow connection. Searches after that are instant.
Results use the World English Bible (WEB). Different translations use different words, so a verse you remember may be worded differently here.
Example
Searching shepherd in Psalms finds verses including Psalm 23:1 and Psalm 80:1. Searching the exact phrase be strong and courageous across the whole Bible finds passages in Deuteronomy and Joshua.
